Archies Thongs…Recommended by your Physio!

Introducing…. Archies! THE thongs recommended by your Physio!

New to Bend + Mend this month is the Archies footwear range and with summer just beginning to emerge (behind all this smoke!) it is the perfect time to come in, get fitted and get yourself a stylish new pair of thongs for your summer holidays.

Archies look just like a regular pair of thongs but have many built in features which are similar to that of a supportive shoe. What makes Archies different from your regular thongs is that they have a built in 2.2cm orthotic lift which can provide you with a similar inner arch support that you get from a pair of regular orthotics. This is great for those of you who normally wear an orthotic in your day to day shoes and struggle to find something with similar support in the summer.

Archies are made of an incredibly light weight, yet sturdy rebound foam which makes them perfect for packing to take on your travels or your trips to the beach. The Archies foam is also super soft and comfortable which helps avoid foot discomfort after a hard day of walking or being on the feet (speaking from personal experience)!

Another amazing part of Archies footwear is the comfortable memory foam strap which is tight enough to help keep your foot secure in the thongs and avoids that awful toe gripping to keep your shoes on! The other feature which I think is the most helpful- especially if you are a little bit clumsy like me, is the fact that there is no awful plugs that can lead to an awkward snapped strap due to the intelligent one piece design.

These thongs are amazing for those of you who have issues finding something comfortable for the beach or for those of you who have foot, ankle knee or hip issues and just want to get back to wearing something other than runners.

With a range of colours and sizes available and Christmas just around the corner, now is a perfect time to come in, try some on and re-ignite your love for thongs. Available at Bend + Mend Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD.
