Patient of the Month for March

By February 22, 2016Physiotherapy

This months patient of the month is Nick Johnston (along with his Pilates class playlist)!

From Nick: “I first visited Fi many, many, years ago to assist my recovery from back surgery – and despite moving premises twice and even changing the business name, she still can’t shake me. Aside from helping resolve flare ups and keeping me mobile through half marathons, trailwalks and other optimistic endeavours, the Pilates classes have been a real game changer in helping me move and feel better, every day. I enjoy the friendly and professional atmosphere at B+M, and the pride that everyone seems to take in doing their work”.

And from Fiona: “I have been treating Nick for 10 years now for several different complaints. He has always been very diligent doing his own research on which exercises helped him which impressed me greatly, yet he was still getting flare-ups and it was effecting his quality of life. So I finally convinced him to do Clinical Pilates with us and since he started he hasn’t looked back! He has had no flare ups for over a year now and said this is the best he’s felt in years! I am so happy that he is better and I have loved having him in my class as he is such a positive energy, hilarious and brings his own playlist! He is now getting up earlier and has joined Bonnie’s 6.45am class and bringing that same energy to that class (which is a lot harder first thing in the morning!). Not only does he consistently commit to getting up so early but he has ensured we have great music to listen to by supplying his own playlist including songs such as Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and John Farnham’s – “Pressure Down”. Nick is diligent with his home program and always keen to challenge himself with new exercises. It’s been a pleasure working with you Nick. We look forward to the next 10 years.”
