Fun Activities For The School Holidays!

School holidays are a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your kids and family. Unfortunately, it can often be hard to keep your kids entertained and find new and exciting activities to do. Below are a few fun ideas to help fill the School Holidays.

Night Owls Kids Film Festival

When: January 5th – January 21st 2018
Where: Village Green Darling Harbour
Cost: Free
Each of the 17 nights feature kids’ entertainment from 6-6:30pm, short films from Little Big Shots screening at 6:30pm; the full-length family feature from 6:45pm; and after-hours films for the adults from 8:30pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights only).

Water World Central Sydney

When: Daily 28th December -28th January 2018
Where: Entertainment Quarter Moore Park (other locations also)
Cost: Free entry. 2 hour Unlimited Rider Session Wristband priced $10 for adult pool entry and $25 for children
Australia’s first portable water park with giant inflatable pool and slides.

St George Open Air Cinema

When: 7th January – 21st February 2018
Where: Mrs Macquaries Point
Cost: General admission grandstand $39pp, Concession grandstand $37pp
Located at the beautiful Mrs Macquaries Point with the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and city skyline in view. St George OpenAir cinema is the premium cinematic experience with a variety of movies for all ages.

KFC BBL

When: 2nd January – 4th February 2018
Cost: Adults tickets from $20, kids from $20 and family tickets (2 adults and 2 kids) from $42.50
Take the family to see the Men or Women’s teams play in the exciting Big Bash League. Various games and stadiums.

Kids In The Park at Sydney Olympic Park

When: Every day of the NSW School Holidays
Where: Sydney Olympic Park
Cost: Prices vary, many activities are free
Sydney Olympic Park will host over 50 kid-friendly activities that cater for all ages, interests and budgets. A few interesting activities include flying trapeze, ‘urban jungle’, science/writing/film-making workshops and you can also escape the heat at Aqua Park, a big inflatable obstacle course in the Aquatic Centre.

Other fun family activities could include a visit to Taronga Zoo or the Tree-Tops Adventure Parks. You may also choose to sit down and relax while watching the performances of Alice in Wonderland at the Lennox Theatre in Parramatta or The Wizard of Oz at the Capitol Theatre.
